Remotavia

Remotavia methodology

Remote jobs found at the source, with partner feeds filling gaps.

Found versus posted

Found is the first time Remotavia observed a vacancy. Posted is the employer-provided publication date. An update timestamp is not silently treated as a posting date.

Verification

Verified means the vacancy appeared in a successful official employer ATS snapshot. A successful unchanged conditional response can confirm the prior snapshot. Aggregator imports are not direct verification. Checks older than 48 hours lose the recent-verification label.

Closure

Absence in two successful complete employer scans confirms closure. Failed or malformed scans do not prove closure. Closed jobs leave active search, JobPosting markup and the active-job sitemap.

Country eligibility

Accepted locations and exclusions come from structured fields or evidence in the listing. Bare Remote does not mean Worldwide. Unknown requirements stay unknown; local work authorization must still be confirmed with the employer.

Timezone

Explicit UTC offsets and working-hour statements are retained. Offset compatibility is a planning aid, not a promise about working schedules. Named timezone statements remain visible when exact offsets cannot be inferred safely.

Degree and visa

Degree required, degree or equivalent experience, preferred, explicitly not required and not mentioned are separate classifications. Sponsorship is only marked available with affirmative evidence.

Skills and match

Canonical skill aliases are matched against job text. Required, preferred and mentioned skills are separated where evidence supports it. Existing match scores expose component contributions; missing data is excluded rather than invented.

Ghost risk and company intelligence

Ghost risk remains Not enough data until sufficient observations exist. Long-lived or reposted roles do not prove an employer is posting fake jobs. Company metrics describe Remotavia-observed listings and are not financial-health assessments.

Sources and permitted use

Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby adapters use public employer endpoints. New sources require an administrator to record a policy review before enabling monitoring. Unsupported or restricted sources remain disabled. We do not bypass authentication, CAPTCHAs or source restrictions.

Indexing quality

Only active, recently verified jobs with a known employer posting date, meaningful visible description, structured eligibility and skills, a valid application URL and permitted source usage are index-ready. Other listings may remain in internal search with noindex. Estimated salary is never represented as employer salary.

Limitations

Public sources can change between checks. Automated extraction can be incomplete or wrong. Evidence is shown so you can verify decisions against the official employer listing. Report an error from the job page.
