Job Summary
We are seeking qualified US-licensed pharmacists currently residing in India to support pharmacy operations, patient services, prescription workflows, quality assurance and other specialized functions for US-based pharmacy clients.
This position is particularly suitable for pharmacists who have worked in the United States and subsequently relocated to India, or professionals who maintain an active US pharmacist license while residing in India.
The responsibilities may span operational, administrative, customer-facing and clinically informed support functions, subject to applicable regulatory authorization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support US pharmacy operations, prescription workflows and pharmacy-related service delivery.
- Assist with prescription intake, processing workflows, documentation review and administrative coordination.
- Support refill management, prescription transfer coordination and pharmacy order fulfillment processes.
- Assist with insurance verification, pharmacy benefit coordination, claim rejection follow-ups and prior authorization administration.
- Support patient engagement, medication-related inquiries and pharmacy customer communications.
- Provide pharmacy subject-matter expertise to operational teams and assist with complex escalations.
- Support medication safety processes, quality assurance, documentation reviews and operational audits.
- Coordinate with US-based pharmacists, prescribers, pharmacy technicians and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with pharmacy workflow improvements, SOP development, staff training and process optimization.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and comply with applicable HIPAA, privacy and data security requirements.
- Participate in clinical or regulated pharmacist activities only where expressly authorized under applicable US state laws and other relevant requirements.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD, B.Pharm or equivalent recognized pharmacy qualification.
- Active and verifiable pharmacist license issued by at least one US State Board of Pharmacy.
- Currently residing in India or willing to relocate to Delhi NCR.
- Strong knowledge of US pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical terminology and prescription workflows.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and healthcare technology.
- Willingness to work US shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional pharmacy experience in the United States.
- Experience with US retail, specialty, hospital, mail-order or online pharmacy operations.
- Familiarity with US pharmacy regulations and pharmacy benefit management processes.
- Knowledge of insurance adjudication, prior authorizations and prescription processing.
- Experience in medication safety, pharmacy quality assurance or operational compliance.
- Experience managing or training pharmacy operations teams.
- Previous exposure to remote healthcare operations or international pharmacy support.
What We Offer

- Professional development and career progression within SummitNext.
Regulatory Considerations
Candidates must hold an active US pharmacist license. However, the ability to perform regulated pharmacy functions remotely from India will depend on applicable US state laws, pharmacy board requirements, client policies and other relevant regulations.
The role will be structured to ensure that all assigned responsibilities fall within the legally authorized scope of practice.
Application Requirements
- Please submit your updated CV with the following details:
- US pharmacist licensing state(s) and current license status.
- Relevant US pharmacy work experience.
