About the role

ABOUT FMSI

FMSI provides RelationshipOS, a software platform that enables community banks and credit unions to manage and elevate the branch and member experience. The platform includes Appointments, Lobby, Analytics, and Staff Scheduler modules, helping financial institutions strengthen the personal relationships that differentiate them from larger competitors.

FMSI operates with a lean, collaborative team in which each member contributes directly to the company's growth and strategic direction.

POSITION OVERVIEW

FMSI is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive new business growth across the community bank and credit union market. This is a new-logo role focused on generating pipeline, managing complex sales cycles, and closing new client relationships at the executive level.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed sales professional with a strong prospecting discipline and an entrepreneurial approach. As a key member of a growing sales organization, this individual will help shape the sales process, refine go-to-market strategy, and establish repeatable practices for future success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pipeline Development. Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including cold calling, email, and social selling, targeting executives at community banks and credit unions.
  • Inbound Lead Management. Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, events, and referrals. Qualify each lead against FMSI's ideal customer profile, advance qualified opportunities, and route or nurture remaining leads with complete documentation in the CRM.
  • Full-Cycle Sales. Manage the full sales cycle, including discovery, product demonstration, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Quota Attainment. Achieve or exceed annual new-business quota targets. Maintain accurate forecasts and current, complete CRM records.
  • Industry Engagement. Represent FMSI at industry trade shows, state credit union league events, banking association conferences, and on-site client meetings.
  • Sales Process Development. Collaborate with the Head of Growth to develop outreach strategies, messaging, and territory plans. Evaluate results and refine approaches to establish a scalable sales playbook.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Partner with marketing, product, customer success, and leadership teams. Share market insights to inform positioning and product strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Required experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and closing new-logo business, beyond inbound or account management responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in outbound prospecting, including regular cold calling.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Experience establishing sales processes in a growing or early-stage environment, with the adaptability to test, evaluate, and refine approaches over time.
  • Strong consultative selling and discovery skills, with experience engaging VP and C-suite decision-makers at banks and credit unions, including CEOs, COOs, Chief Experience Officers, and retail and branch leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles of six to twelve months, build consensus among multiple stakeholders, and navigate board approvals, budget cycles, and vendor due diligence processes.
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to work independently within a small, collaborative team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience selling to credit unions or community banks.
  • Established relationships within credit union leagues, banking associations, or financial institution leadership.
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM.
  • Familiarity with branch transformation, member and customer experience, or core banking ecosystems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Unlimited paid time off.
  • Direct engagement with leadership and meaningful influence on go-to-market strategy.
