About the role

Job Description

Are you passionate about connecting business strategy, technology, and innovation to drive commercial success?

Syngenta is seeking a collaborative and results-driven Sales Planning and Enablement Lead to help transform how our North American commercial teams plan, operate, and succeed.

In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, and global IT teams to enhance sales enablement, demand planning, and business processes. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative tools, improving user experience, and driving adoption of technologies that empower our teams to make smarter, data-driven decisions.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving complex business challenges, and want to make a measurable impact on commercial performance, we’d love to hear from you!

Accountabilities:

  • Drive Business Solutions: Partner with North American Sales, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Production & Supply, Finance, and field teams to identify business needs, prioritize requirements, and translate opportunities into actionable technology solutions.
  • Enhance Sales Planning: Improve demand planning, business planning, customer and channel segmentation, and sales processes through streamlined workflows, data insights, reporting, and system enhancements.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with global IT product and delivery teams, Data & Analytics, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and external vendors to support successful solution delivery aligned with established IT roadmaps and governance standards.
  • Support Technology Adoption: Drive the effective implementation and adoption of SmartAgro, Lynx Sales Assistant, and other commercial technologies that enhance productivity and field-sales effectiveness.
  • Ensure Business Readiness: Coordinate user acceptance testing, training, communications, release readiness, and post-launch support in partnership with Commercial Excellence, ensuring solutions are ready for critical planning and selling cycles.
  • Translate Requirements into Action: Develop clear business requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans while tracking priorities, dependencies, and risks through tools such as Jira.
  • Deliver Measurable Business Value: Monitor system adoption, data quality, user experience, and business outcomes to identify improvement opportunities, resolve challenges, and continuously optimize commercial capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or an associate's degree with two additional years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience supporting or delivering CRM, sales enablement, business planning, demand planning, or field-sales technology solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (SFDC), workflow automation, and system integrations, with the ability to translate technical capabilities and constraints into practical business solutions.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, mapping processes, developing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and coordinating testing and delivery activities.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Jira, including backlog management, delivery planning, dependency tracking, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate stakeholder engagement, user acceptance testing, training, communications, release readiness, and post-implementation improvements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority, drive technology adoption, and use data and feedback to support continuous improvement.
