About the role
A different kind of teaching role
Not every teaching environment is built around continuity — this one is.
Tutors follow a structured, logic-driven methodology where each session builds on the previous one. You won’t be dropping into random classes. Instead, you’ll work with students over time, guiding their progress and building familiarity as they move through a defined learning path.
If you prefer teaching that’s consistent, measured, and progression-focused, this tends to be a strong fit.
What makes this role distinct
- Curriculum-led delivery
- Lessons are designed to follow a clear sequence, with each class contributing to long-term development.
- Ongoing student relationships
- You’ll regularly see the same learners, which allows you to build rapport and track improvement in a meaningful way.
- Structured teaching environment
- There’s a strong emphasis on following methodology — less improvisation, more consistency.
Your core responsibilities
- Review lesson material ahead of scheduled sessions
- Deliver structured, engaging online classes aligned to the curriculum
- Maintain a focused and professional virtual classroom environment
- Support learners from a range of backgrounds and proficiency levels
- Provide feedback that helps guide measurable improvement
What you’ll be stepping into
This is a system-driven environment designed to support both teachers and students.
You’ll have access to:
- Ongoing training and required development workshops
- Coaching and performance feedback
- A platform built for structured, guided teaching
- A team culture that values consistency and reliability
Qualifications & experience
- A Matric Certificate is required
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
- A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate
- Teaching experience is beneficial, particularly in an online setting
- Strong spoken and written English with a neutral accent
- Comfortable using Zoom and standard digital tools
- Confident managing a virtual classroom environment
Technical requirements (essential)
- Laptop/PC with Intel® Core™ i5 or higher and 8GB RAM
- Stable fibre internet with 25 Mbps download/upload minimum (LAN cable connection only)
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) that provides 4–5 hours of backup power
- Separate mini-UPS to keep your fibre router powered during outages
- Noise-cancelling headset, HD webcam, and a quiet, professional workspace
Working hours & earnings
Shift Option 1
- Thu – Sun | 00:00 – 04:30 (SAST)

Shift Option 2

Application process
Due to the volume of applications, feedback may take up to three weeks.
If you haven’t received a response within that timeframe, your application has not progressed further.
Final note
If you’re drawn to a more structured, progression-based approach to teaching — and value building ongoing relationships with your students — this is worth exploring.
