Microsoft 365 Administrator (APAC)

Job Description

We’re hiring a Microsoft 365 Administrator based in Asia-Pacific to help manage, maintain, and secure our Microsoft cloud environment—including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview.

You’ll be our first IT team member in the region, giving colleagues across Asia-Pacific support in their own working hours. You'll also play a key role in keeping our environment secure, well documented, and audit-ready for our clients and regulators.

What You’ll Do:

· Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.

· Resolve escalated technical issues (Level 2/3) for colleagues across Asia-Pacific in their local working hours, and be IT’s point of contact in the region.

· Manage the user and device lifecycle—onboarding, role changes, and offboarding—across Entra ID and Intune, following our access control procedures.

· Support our security and audit-readiness work, including Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels and data loss prevention), access reviews, and vulnerability and patch management.

· Run and test backup and recovery, and take part in disaster recovery tests that produce the evidence our auditors and clients ask for.

· Ensure the environment stays compliant with our internal policies and with data protection requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA.

· Work closely with the IT team in Europe and the Americas on identity, infrastructure, and security projects.

· Automate routine work with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and our approved AI tools.

· Follow change management and keep runbooks, configurations, and support processes documented.

· Stay up to date on the latest Microsoft 365 and security features and assess potential benefits for the organization.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

· Fluent in English, written and spoken

· Based in Asia-Pacific, ideally in Taiwan, Thailand, or India, able to work 100% remotely

· Willing to overlap part of your working day with colleagues in Europe

· Logical, analytical, and always ready to learn something new!

· Comfortable working independently as the first IT person in the region, and as part of a global team

· 1–5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID, Intune, and Exchange Online (but we’re open to ambitious early-career professionals, too)

· Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset
 

Nice to Have:

· Microsoft Defender, Entra Conditional Access, and Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels, DLP)

· Identity governance: role-based access, access reviews, and privileged access

· SharePoint site architecture and permissions management

· Scripting and automation with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph; familiarity with Git

· Microsoft 365 backup and recovery tools, such as Veeam

· Experience supporting audits or working with frameworks such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, or GDPR

· Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, or MD-102
