Deployment Strategist - Databricks (Contract - EU Candidates Only)

What will you do?

As a Deployment Strategist within Advisory, you operate at the intersection of enterprise business strategy, software delivery, and organizational change, focusing on Databricks projects. You take full ownership of the non-coding engagement lifecycle - translating complex client friction into structured execution roadmaps.

In this role, you will maintain high-touch interactions with C-suite stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, define pilot boundaries, direct cross-functional delivery teams, and ensure rapid, full-scale adoption.

This is a remote role (with possible rare exceptions to be agreed upon in due time).

Key Responsibilities

• Value Architecture & Client Discovery: Lead executive-level working sessions with client leadership to map operational bottlenecks, calculate bottom-line financial impact, and define concrete success metrics for joint initiatives.

• Engagement Leadership & Scope Control: Author functional solution specifications, build and prioritize delivery backlogs, manage scope boundaries, and oversee final acceptance testing to guarantee alignment with client business goals.

• Agile Operational Execution: Direct multidisciplinary delivery teams through fast-paced build cycles, resolve organizational friction, and maintain seamless daily alignment between client executives and technical builders.

• Deployment & Client Adoption: Coordinate solution rollouts, establish user onboarding and change management protocols, monitor post-launch performance, and document tangible ROI alongside client sponsors.

• Relationship & Account Growth: Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, maintaining long-term partnerships while identifying follow-on operational challenges and scoping subsequent high-impact advisory projects.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Consulting Foundation: Professional background in management consulting (MBB / Big 4) or specialized data/tech advisory practices, with demonstrated experience driving technology-enabled strategy.

• Delivery Track Record: 5+ years managing complex, client-facing technology deployments, advisory initiatives, or forward-deployed consulting engagements (e.g., Engagement Manager, Delivery Lead, or field-facing Product Manager).

• Technical & Analytical Literacy: Deep familiarity with modern data architectures, AI applications, and enterprise software workflows, allowing you to bridge technical concepts and executive decision-making. Nice to have: Familiarity with Databricks.

• Executive Gravitas: Masterful communication skills with the ability to navigate matrixed corporate environments, align diverse stakeholder groups, and influence senior leadership.

• Bias for Action: An adaptable, hands-on operator who takes end-to-end accountability for engagement outcomes and thrives in fast-moving, high-touch client environments.

• Location & Language: Based in EU with excellent written and spoken English.
