Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements while continuously improving accounting and AR operations through automation, AI, and process optimization. Act as a trusted partner to the Controller and business leaders by delivering clean, reliable financial information, effective working-capital management, and accurate sales forecasts that support informed decision-making and business growth.

  • Ensure financial statements and balance-sheet accounts are accurate and fully supported, with 100% of material balance-sheet reconciliations completed monthly, significant variances explained, and identified issues resolved within agreed timelines.
  • Complete 100% of required tax filings, remittances, and compliance requirements accurately and on time, with no material control deficiencies and no repeat audit findings.
  • Maintain past-due AR below 10%, review aging monthly, proactively escalate collection risks, and ensure customer invoicing is accurate, authorized, and supported.
  • Own the customer invoicing process, ensuring invoices and credit notes are complete, accurate, properly authorized, and issued promptly, with billing exceptions investigated and resolved within agreed timelines.
  • Record and apply customer cash receipts accurately and promptly, reconcile unapplied cash, deductions, and short payments regularly, and resolve aged items within agreed timelines.
  • Complete all bank reconciliations daily, investigate reconciling items promptly, and ensure there are no material unexplained or long-outstanding differences.
  • Deliver accurate cash and short-term liquidity reporting on the established cadence, identify material cash or balance-sheet exposures proactively, and ensure no material cash surprises resulting from reporting gaps or errors.
  • Deliver at least 3 measurable process improvements or automations within the first 12 months that reduce manual work, strengthen controls, shorten cycle times, or eliminate recurring accounting errors.

Role Competencies:

  • Integrity, Accountability & Ownership — Acts with integrity and transparency, follows through on commitments, and takes ownership regardless of title.
  • Accounting & Technical Expertise — Brings strong accounting knowledge and manufacturing experience, with a commitment to excellence in financial accuracy, close quality, and controls. • Trust & Cross-Functional Partnership — Brings best intentions, builds trust through reliable execution, and develops mutually beneficial relationships across Finance, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders.
  • Clear Financial Communication — Communicates financial information, risks, and issues clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
