How we check digital nomad visa data
Last full check: 4 November 2026
Where the figures come from
We use government and embassy or consulate pages. Each programme lists the sources it relies on, so you can read them yourself.
Embassies of one country can publish different figures or checklists. When they do, we say so and tell you to confirm with the mission that will handle your application. We do not average conflicting figures, and we leave a programme out if we cannot establish a usable figure. Estonia is out for that reason for now.
How often we review them
We aim to review all programmes at least every quarter, and each January, when many minimum wages change. The date on the page shows the last full check. If a check becomes more than 180 days old, we ask search engines to drop the page until it has been rechecked.
How the income checker works
The checker compares the income you enter with each programme’s income test, converted at approximate exchange rates. “May meet the income test” means your income is more than 10% above the line. “Close” means it is less than 10% above, so a change in rates could put you below it.
It only looks at income. It does not check nationality, job type, documents, insurance or anything else. It never tells you that you qualify, and what you enter stays in your browser.
How job counts work
“Open jobs” counts live listings marked worldwide or naming that country, without excluding it. “State pay reaching the test” narrows that to jobs that publish a salary whose top end reaches the income test, using approximate exchange rates.
A count does not mean an employer will approve a move or provide the letter a visa needs, and it does not mean the job offered will pay the top of its range. Ask before you rely on either.
What this is not
This is general information, not legal, immigration or tax advice. We do not process applications and no programme listed here has paid to appear.
