SAC Solution Architect

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable planning and analytics solutions within a complex SAP environment. The role focuses on defining SAC solution architecture, designing advanced planning models, and ensuring seamless integration with enterprise data platforms. Working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical development teams, the architect ensures that SAC solutions meet business planning, forecasting, and reporting requirements while maintaining high standards of performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain end-to-end SAP Analytics Cloud solution architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise IT standards.
• Lead the design of SAC planning models, including dimensions, measures, hierarchies, calculations, and data structures.
• Architect scalable planning and forecasting solutions, incorporating allocations, simulations, version management, and advanced planning functionalities.
• Design integration architecture between SAC and SAP systems, including SAP Datasphere, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and other enterprise data sources.
• Establish architectural guidelines, data modeling standards, and development best practices for SAC implementations.
• Collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to translate complex planning requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical oversight to SAC front-end and back-end development teams.
• Review solution designs, identify potential technical risks, and recommend improvements to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support solution testing, deployment planning, technical documentation, and continuous optimization of SAC planning capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), particularly solution architecture, planning model design, and enterprise analytics.
• Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end SAC Planning solutions in complex SAP environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAC planning models, advanced formulas, data actions, multi-actions, allocations, and version management.
• Solid understanding of SAC architecture, data connectivity, integration patterns, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating SAC with SAP Datasphere, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, or other enterprise data platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise planning processes, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Experience defining technical architecture standards, solution design principles, and data modeling best practices.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architecture and provide guidance to development teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across business and IT teams.

This role will be based in Tokyo, Japan remotely and be able to travel to Yamagata upon the client’s requests. We are looking for a potential candidate who can lead the workstream at the client's side as well as large projects in the near future.
