About the role
The Company
Our client is an established international financial services organization with a strong presence across Asia-Pacific. The firm is committed to delivering robust, modern technology foundations to support its growing business operations, maintain operational resilience, and meet stringent regional regulatory standards.
The Team
You will lead a dynamic, cross-functional project team spanning local, regional, and global technology groups, including offshore and nearshore service providers. The environment is highly collaborative and governance-focused, bringing together experts across infrastructure, networks, application management, workspace services, procurement, and finance to execute key transformation initiatives.
The Role
As Senior IT Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end planning, procurement, coordination, and execution of a comprehensive infrastructure migration for the South Korea entity. Managing five integrated workstreams—Procurement, Network & Infrastructure, Application Migration & Rebuild, End-User Workspace, and Budget & Stakeholder Management—you will drive delivery against a single baseline schedule and critical path. You will ensure operational continuity, strict regulatory compliance, technical readiness, transparent executive reporting, and rigorous budget control throughout the migration lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant IT project management, technology governance, or production management experience within complex international environments.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and professional proficiency in Korean (spoken and written) to coordinate effectively with local stakeholders, review technical/regulatory documentation, and interface with regional teams.
- Infrastructure & Migration Expertise: Proven track record in infrastructure rationalization, cloud migration, IT operations, observability, incident management, resilience, disaster recovery, continuity planning, and production governance.
- Workstream Management: Hands-on experience coordinating end-to-end network buildouts, application migrations/rebuilds, end-user workspace deployments, and post-cutover stabilization.
- Procurement & Asset Control: Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure sourcing, vendor coordination, quotation analysis, hardware/software purchase orders, licensing, inventory reconciliation, and asset lifecycle controls.
- Schedule & Project Control: Proven ability to build and maintain detailed integrated schedules, critical path analyses, resource plans, milestone tracking, and mitigation plans under fixed timelines.
- Stakeholder & Financial Governance: Strong capability in project budget management (forecasting, actuals, cost allocation), operating multi-tiered steering committees, managing executive expectations, and driving timely escalations.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Knowledge of local South Korean IT regulatory and operational requirements, with experience leveraging legal and compliance expertise to ensure full adherence.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated success coordinating distributed teams across regional, country, global, offshore, and nearshore models.
- Execution: Strong autonomy, executive-level communication, synthesis skills, and a commitment to maintaining audit-ready documentation and handling confidential information with discretion.
