About the role

Join us at Ventura TRAVEL — a group of specialized travel brands that unleash the adventurer in everyone! At Galapatours, our mission is to become the global reference for sustainable travel to the Galápagos Islands.

As an English-speaking Galápagos Specialist at Galapatours, you will be selling a dream product: exclusive, sustainable cruises aboard small, mostly luxurious yachts around the Galápagos archipelago. Your mission is to turn customer interest into bookings, maximize sales opportunities, and help us grow.

You will report directly to Celia, our team lead of Booking Platforms, and work in a growing international team surrounded by exceptional, caring, and passionate individuals who want to achieve ambitious results together.

On a daily basis, you will

  • Drive sales and close deals: Proactively follow up with leads, identify high-potential opportunities, overcome objections, and turn customer inquiries into confirmed bookings.

  • Prioritize what matters: Focus your time and energy on the opportunities with the greatest sales potential instead of treating every task or lead equally.

  • Advise potential clients and help them plan their trip by answering questions and presenting the best cruise options via email, phone, and video chat.

  • Communicate with our providers to confirm prices, block spaces, and negotiate deals that deliver value for our customers.

  • Find better ways of working: Identify repetitive manual tasks, challenge inefficient routines, and implement practical improvements that free up time for selling.

The basics you bring along

  • At least 2 years of sales experience with measurable results and a strong drive to exceed targets.

  • A proactive, commercially minded approach: you pursue high-potential leads, follow up persistently, and confidently close deals.

  • The ability to prioritize by business impact, act quickly, and say no to low-value activities.

  • An improvement mindset: you challenge inefficient routines and find ways to eliminate manual work.

  • Native or near-native English (C2 level).

  • Availability to work 8-hour shifts aligned to US time zones.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.

  • A passion for fair and sustainable tourism and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup.

You can impress us even more with

  • Proficiency in a second language.

  • A passion for the Galápagos Islands, ideally backed by firsthand experience visiting the islands.

  • Previous experience in Galápagos cruise sales.

What we promise you

  • Freedom to be creative in achieving results.
  • International & friendly working environment.
  • Quarterly Social Days and Team Events.
  • Work out of other offices in the Ventura network around the world.
  • Opportunity to constantly learn and grow.
  • We care about the well-being of your employees (regular O3, satisfaction surveys etc.)
  • Yearly 2-week-offsite, if we achieve our goals.
  • Participation in the overall company's profits.
  • Visit our Career Page to get more insights into our office life.

Remote working

You are completely free to work from anywhere in the world, but we must insist that you work within US time zones. The reason: 90% of our clients are from the Americas. You are always welcome to work from one of our many physical offices around the world, such as Medellín (Colombia), Quito (Ecuador), Cuzco (Peru), Cape Town (South Africa), or our headquarters in Kreuzberg, the hip center of Berlin. Of course, visits to the Galápagos Islands are necessary and welcome (see "What we promise you").
