About the role
Description
Finance teams still spend too much time on manual accounting work: reconciliations, close activities, investigations, and the workarounds that complex financial systems create.
Nominal is changing that.
We're building an AI-native platform that lets finance teams stop doing that work by hand and start managing systems that do it for them. Our customers are growing companies with complex, multi-entity finance operations, and demand for what we've built is strong.
We move fast, we obsess over execution, and we value hands-on leadership, real ownership, and open, direct communication.
In this role, you'll support our US leadership team, with a focus on being the CEO's right hand. You'll anticipate what's coming, handle sensitive information with discretion, and keep work across many stakeholders moving. You'll be close to how the business runs day to day, and your job is to make sure leadership spends its time on what matters most.
Over time, the role may grow into broader company operations.
What you'll do:
CEO support
- Manage a busy, fast-changing calendar. Prioritize time across meetings, travel, deadlines and focus time, with awareness of key personal commitments.
- Triage the CEO's inbox and support his communications, with more autonomy over time.
- Anticipate priorities, clear bottlenecks and keep a steady operating cadence.
- Prep meetings: agendas, context, follow-ups.
Leadership support
- Support the US leadership team with scheduling, travel, events and whatever else keeps things moving.
- Track action items, follow-ups and deadlines, and make sure important threads get closed.
- Coordinate leadership meetings, board prep logistics and all-hands.
Travel & visits
- Plan US and occasional international travel end to end: flights, hotels, itineraries, reservations.
- Coordinate in-office visits to our NYC office for customers, partners and other stakeholders.
Projects & operations
- Work closely with our VP of HR and the People team on logistics for our teams in Brazil and the US, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Own special projects and see them through to the end.
Requirements
- 5+ years as an EA to C-level executives, ideally in a startup or another fast-moving environment.
- Native-level written and spoken English - must.
- Strong judgment and discretion with sensitive information.
- You stay organized when priorities shift, and you know when to push back.
- Strong sense of urgency; comfortable with ambiguity and dynamic environments
- Comfortable with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion and AI tools.
- Experience with US-based executives and familiarity with US business norms.
- Operations experience, or a clear interest in growing into it, is a plus.
Working hours
- Core hours are 9am–6pm US Eastern. Occasional off-hours support around travel or key events
