About The Role & Team
Amplitude is helping companies build better digital products through the power of data and AI. Our Deal Desk team plays a critical role in supporting that mission, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Revenue Accounting, and Order Management to structure smart, scalable deals that drive growth while managing risk.
As a Deal Desk Manager, you'll serve as a strategic advisor on complex enterprise opportunities, helping shape deal structures, pricing strategies, and commercial terms that balance customer needs with business objectives. You'll work across teams to navigate ambiguity, remove roadblocks, and keep deals moving efficiently. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, influencing decisions, and improving how business gets done.
This position is open to candidates based remotely anywhere in the United States, with opportunities to collaborate with global stakeholders as business needs arise.
As a Deal Desk Manager, you will:
Drive strategic deal structuring: Partner with Sales to develop creative, commercially sound solutions for complex enterprise opportunities, including non-standard pricing, packaging, contract terms, and negotiation strategies.
Own deal review and execution: Evaluate and approve non-standard transactions within established SLAs, ensuring appropriate approvals, documentation, and alignment with revenue recognition, legal, and operational policies.
Influence cross-functional decisions: Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales, Finance, Legal, Revenue Accounting, and Order Management, balancing commercial objectives with financial and operational considerations to move deals forward.
Support complex commercial models: Navigate channel and partner transactions, cloud marketplace deals, and non-standard agreements while identifying potential risks and ensuring smooth downstream execution.
Improve and scale deal operations: Identify opportunities to streamline the quote-to-order process, leverage AI and automation, establish best practices, and enable Sales to operate more efficiently as the business grows.
You'll be a great addition to the team if:
You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are energized by complex, high-stakes deals that require creative thinking and sound judgment
You build trust with Sales by being a valued partner—creative, collaborative, and solution-oriented—while still holding the line when it matters
You’re energized by cross-functional collaboration and know how to drive alignment across strong personalities and competing priorities
You have a sharp eye for risk and detail, but don’t lose sight of the bigger picture
You're a clear, thoughtful communicator with strong critical thinking skills and a constant drive to improve systems, processes, and how teams work together
At a minimum, you need to have:
5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or a similar deal strategy role in a SaaS or subscription-based business
Strong understanding of deal structuring, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
Experience partnering with Legal and Finance on non-standard terms and approvals
Proficiency with Salesforce (CPQ experience strongly preferred) and comfort working with data and complex deal scenarios
Familiarity with channel selling model and transacting through cloud marketplaces
