About the role
What we're doing at Uscreen
Uscreen is the video monetization platform for businesses building recurring revenue from video content. Our customers replace a patchwork stack of separate hosting, community, courses, email, and app vendors with one branded experience across web, mobile, and TV.
The platform is only half of it. We believe growth requires behavior, not just software. Customers don't stall because a feature is missing. They stall because they priced wrong, never built an email list, or launched an offer nobody wanted. Coaching is how we fix that, and it's part of the product rather than an add-on.
The job
You own a segment, and you run it like a growth marketer.
We have a cohort of smaller video businesses where retention is not where it should be. Nobody owns it today. You will. The revenue that stays in that segment, and the revenue that grows inside it, is yours.
This is a coaching role for someone with a growth marketer's mindset. We wouldn't hire a demand gen marketer who couldn't analyze the state of the business and figure out what's needed, and we won't hire a coach who can't either. You'll look at a customer's business the way an owner would: where the revenue comes from, where it leaks, and what to do next. You pull your own numbers to get there. When a customer needs a custom report to answer a growth question, you build it yourself.
It's a one-to-many job. Your cohort is larger than a 1:1 book, so the work is designing coaching that scales: cohort programs, group sessions, office hours, and triggered outreach when the data says a business is drifting. You'll build that motion rather than inherit it.
Success is measured in dollars: gross revenue retention in your cohort first, expansion second. Not tickets closed, not calls booked.
What you'll do
- Own gross revenue retention and expansion for an assigned segment of customers
- Diagnose each business the way an operator would: read their numbers, find the real constraint, and turn it into a plan they can act on
- Coach customers through the decisions that move revenue: pricing, packaging, positioning, offer design, email and funnel strategy, retention mechanics
- Run group coaching sessions, cohort programs, office hours, and async coaching inside Membership+
- Answer customers' growth questions with their own data, including our largest accounts, and build a custom report when they need one, like how their paid search campaigns are performing
- Spot which accounts in your segment are drifting, and work with the team lead to measure which coaching plays actually move retention
- Build the playbooks and session formats that make this repeatable. You're the first person in this seat, and what you build becomes how we scale it
- Bring what you learn back to Product and Success. You'll be closer to this segment than anyone at the company
Who we're looking for
A coach with a growth marketer's mindset. Maybe you've run growth or demand gen for a small business, built your own audience, or coached founders through their numbers. You understand how a membership business makes money, you pull your own analytics to see what's working, and you're comfortable doing it in front of a client. What matters is that you can find the real constraint in a business, then sit with the operator and say the honest thing.
- 3 to 5 years in growth marketing, demand gen, coaching, consulting, or running your own online business, with real ownership of an outcome
- Business acumen. You understand pricing, funnels, retention, and unit economics, and can explain how a business makes money
- You self-serve your own analytics. You get answers from dashboards, BI tools, and AI without waiting on a data team
- Can read retention curves, cohort behavior, and funnel conversion and form a point of view
- Comfortable walking a non-technical business owner through their numbers live and answering their questions on the spot
- Strong live facilitation: group sessions, workshops, webinars, 1:1 calls
- Working fluency with AI tools for research, prep, analysis, and synthesis. Our team uses Claude daily to prep sessions, analyze customer data, and build coaching assets. You should reach for these tools rather than around them
- Clear, simple communication. Complex idea in, plain sentence out
Bonus points if you:
- Have worked as a marketing or growth analyst
- Have built reports in a BI tool like Lightdash, Looker, Tableau, or Metabase
- Write SQL, especially in BigQuery
- Have been a creator, coach, or small business owner yourself
- Have worked with video businesses, online educators, or subscription and membership businesses
- Know the surrounding stack: Kit/ConvertKit, YouTube, Kajabi, Circle, Squarespace, Meta and IG, and the ad platforms' reporting
- Have built a scaled or one-to-many customer program before
What's hard about this job
We'd rather you know now.
- You'll own a number you can't fully control. Some customers won't take the advice and will churn anyway. You have to own your influence over an outcome rather than the outcome itself.
- It's a lagging metric. Retention moves slowly. Your variable is protected for your first two quarters because of this. You'll be doing the work for months before the number reflects it.
- The motion doesn't exist yet. Playbooks exist for our 1:1 coaching. The scaled version for this segment is an open question you'll help answer. If you need a finished playbook on day one, this will frustrate you.
- You'll switch modes all day. A customer's numbers in the morning, a group session after lunch, an honest conversation with a founder before end of day. If you want to go deep on one kind of work all week, this isn't it.
- You'll deliver honest assessments to people emotionally invested in what they've built. That takes a specific kind of nerve, especially when the data is what's delivering the bad news.
