Working at the intersection of financial markets, technology, and product development, you'll help build the legal foundation for a new regulated marketplace while translating complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance. You'll join a growing Legal Team where you'll help establish the legal and regulatory foundation for an evolving business at the forefront of regulated prediction markets.

What you'll do as Corporate Counsel, Prediction Markets

  • Serve as the primary legal partner supporting DKeX and related regulated exchange and clearing initiatives.

  • Advise business stakeholders on legal and regulatory issues arising under the Commodity Exchange Act and Commodity Futures Trading Commission regulations.

  • Draft, review, and maintain exchange rule, policies, governance materials, and other legal documentation supporting the operation and evolution of regulated market infrastructure.

  • Provide legal guidance on regulatory filings, rule submissions, and other matters supporting the ongoing operation of DKeX and related regulated exchange and clearing initiatives.

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Market Operations, Compliance, Finance, Information Technology, and other cross-functional teams to support the development, launch, and operation of regulated products and services.

  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and industry developments affecting derivatives markets and advise internal stakeholders on emerging legal risks, obligations, and opportunities.

  • Manage outside counsel and coordinate legal support across specialized regulatory matters when appropriate.

  • Develop practical legal guidance, scalable processes, and internal resources that empower business teams to make informed decisions while maintaining compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

What you'll bring

  • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution with excellent academic credentials.

  • At least five years of legal experience, ideally a mix of law firm, in-house, or government/regulatory experience.

  • Experience advising clients on financial services regulation, derivatives markets, exchange regulation, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex regulatory frameworks and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain sophisticated legal concepts to technical and non-legal audiences.

  • Curiosity, sound judgment, and a thoughtful approach to solving novel legal and regulatory challenges.

  • A collaborative mindset, strong sense of ownership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting innovative products.

  • Experience advising a Designated Contract Market, Derivatives Clearing Organization, futures commission merchant, broker-dealer, exchange, or financial regulatory agency is preferred.
